Butterfat Studios is a private, appointment only tattoo studio in Chicago, Illinois. Esther Garcia and Evie Yapelli are the full time artists, joined throughout the year by select guest artists.

Esther and Evie have distinctly different styles and techniques, though they both prefer lighthearted and vintage imagery over dark or trendy styles. They would like to remind prospective clients that personal information is not considered when choosing projects. Medical history not pertaining to a tattoo, hobbies, and photos of your pets are unnecessary and perplexing - please do stick to useful information such as: tattoo concept, style, placement, and size; so that they may better determine their ability to assist you.

Esther does not often accept new clients, but occasionally will post here or on her Tumblr about a project in need of a home.

Evie has a more flexible schedule, and is always happy to hear from prospective clients in need of her sweet old school stylings!
